Frederick Watts was a carpenter by trade and participated in the construction of the MacKay School, which was an Indian Residential School (since destroyed by fire). He also belonged to the Independent Order of Odd Fellows, and was a devoted Orangeman. Watts was also a member of the town council and he passed away in 1949.
